The flea market in the Old Jabal Amman is located near the Jordan River Showroom – First circle, and is open from 10:00 am till 9:00 pm.

JARA (Jabal Amman Residents Association) was established on the 7thof July, 2004 to maintain and preserve the identity and ethnicity of the neighborhood. Jabal Amman's First Circle old neighborhood is one of the oldest and most distinguished areas in Amman on both cultural and historical levels; thus, it constitutes a major tourist attraction. Prominent personalities such as HM the Late King Hussein Bin Talal, Glubb Pasha, several Prime Ministers and many other well-known figures were residents of this very special place.
JARA's mission is to become an annual signature event established with local residents as a highlight summer market and an enhancement for tourists in Jordan in hopes of supporting the neighborhood local merchants in promoting and selling their products and improve their quality of life. As well as, enhancing the status of Jabal Amman (First Circle) and making it a shining example of the old areas. JARA will raise the awareness about the historical, economical and cultural values of the area among the local residents and assist in implanting the spirit of cooperation and loyalty to the best interest of the area and its residents.
JARA Market is attractive to those who operate small businesses out of their homes. The market is a place where people can walk around with food and search for good deals on trendy merchandise. JARA Market will permit visitors to explore every Friday, from morning till evening, the authentic and public market to purchase countless bargains.
A 180 meter long street filled with colorful oriental treasures on the sides, where local and tourist guests can shop from around 80 to 100 sellers. A multi-merchant marketplace filled with a diverse selection of products ranging from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Under the umbrellas of elegant vendors individual merchants offer a variety of traditional and authentic collectibles, arts, accessories, crafts, beauty products, traditional jewelry, house wares and a huge selection of fashion clothing, home accents and furniture and needle works, while surrounded by local music. The guests can also discover exotic spice shops, homemade pickles and jams, traditional candy and nut products, healthy Arabic snacks, sandwiches, ice creams and beverages. Younger visitors will enjoy a new small play ground with drawing boards and other entertaining activities, along with traditional story telling time by a local "Hakawati".
